The National Steering Committee coordinating the first anniversary of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s death has warned against fundraising in the name of the Odinga family or the committee. The warning comes as the family begins a month-long programme to commemorate Raila, who died on October 15 last year. Committee chairperson Adams Oloo said Kenyans were free to organise activities in his honour but cautioned them against using the anniversary to solicit funds.
