Medical Services PS Ouma Oluga says Kenya must increase investment in healthcare for older persons as the population aged above 60 continues to grow. PS Oluga says more than 3.2 million Kenyans are aged 60 and above, with the number projected to reach between 5.5 and 6.5 million by 2035. He says the government is prioritising specialised services, essential medicines and integration of geriatric care into primary healthcare. Today is International Day for the Older Persons.
