A video of Zimbabwean prophet T Thedi praying against a possible helicopter crash has resurfaced online following the death of businessman Wicknell Chivayo in a helicopter accident.

The clip shows Thedi speaking during a church service in Zimbabwe, where he said he had repeatedly seen a troubling vision involving a helicopter carrying important people.

The prophet said he initially referred to the aircraft as a bird because of the way it appeared in his vision.

He then explained that the “bird” was actually a helicopter which he had seen flying before appearing to lose its strength and fall from the sky.

Thedi urged his congregation to pray for Zimbabwe’s airspace, saying he did not want the incident he had seen in his vision to happen.

The video has now resurfaced after Chivayo and five other people died when a helicopter crashed in the Marondera area on Wednesday, September 30.

Prophet’s video resurfaces

In the footage, Thedi can be seen addressing worshippers while describing what he said was a recurring vision.

He asked the congregation to pray for people travelling by air and specifically called for Zimbabwe’s airspace to be covered in prayer.

The video was not originally presented as a prediction of Chivayo’s death, and the prophet did not mention the businessman by name in the clip.

However, its timing has led social media users to revisit his words and connect the video to the helicopter crash that occurred on Wednesday.

The connection remains a viewer interpretation rather than something established by authorities investigating the accident.

Wicknell Chivayo dies in helicopter crash.

Chivayo, a prominent Zimbabwean businessman known for his lavish lifestyle and strong social media presence, was among six people aboard the helicopter that crashed in rural Marondera.

His wife, Lucy Muteke, was also among those who died. According to reports, the aircraft went down southeast of Harare and caught fire. Authorities said there were no survivors, while investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.

Chivayo’s death quickly prompted old videos and social media posts concerning him to resurface, including clips involving religious figures and people who had previously spoken about his safety.

Why the video is drawing attention

The resurfaced footage has attracted interest mainly because of its reference to a helicopter carrying important people before the fatal accident involving Chivayo.

Thedi’s remarks, however, did not identify Chivayo, the aircraft involved in the crash or a specific date. His comments were made before the accident and were presented as part of a prayer for Zimbabwe’s airspace.

The video is now being shared alongside reports of the crash, with some viewers describing Thedi’s words as a prediction of what happened.

Others have questioned whether the connection can be established from the footage alone.

Authorities are still expected to establish what caused the helicopter to crash as investigations into the accident continue.
