Thirteen suspects, including three armed police officers, have been arrested near Vision Plaza along Mombasa Road Nairobi, over a fake gold and counterfeit currency syndicate. The multi-agency crackdown, led by the DCI, followed reports that a US national had been lured to Kenya over a lucrative gold deal. During the raid, detectives seized 65 bars purportedly containing pure gold, 750,000 US dollars in fake currency, fraudulent KRA stickers and metallic boxes.
