President William Ruto says the planned East Africa Oil Refinery in Lamu is expected to boost Kenya’s economy and attract more foreign investment. Speaking in Kilifi, Ruto said foreign direct investment rose from Sh206.4 billion in 2022 to Sh399.9 billion last year. He projected that the figure could rise to between 774 and 903 billion shillings with the proposed Dangote investment.
