The Office of the Auditor-General has advertised 10 senior positions as it seeks to strengthen its workforce responsible for auditing the use of public resources across government.

The office has invited applications for three categories of positions, including eight vacancies for director of audit.

It is also seeking to recruit one director of legal services and one director of communications.

The director of audit positions are listed under Grade OAG 3, with reference number 01/09/2026.

The director of legal services position is also Grade OAG 3 and carries reference number 02/09/2026, while the director of communications position is listed under the same grade with reference number 03/09/2026.

The Auditor General's office said the recruitment is being undertaken pursuant to Article 252 (1) (c) of the Constitution, which empowers commissions and independent offices to recruit their own staff.

The office is mandated to promote accountability in the use of public resources by the three arms of government—the Legislature, Judiciary and Executive—as well as county governments, constitutional commissions and independent offices.

The office warned applicants that providing false information or fake documents in job applications is a criminal offence.

It said it is an equal opportunity employer and is seeking to promote diversity in its workforce in line with the Constitution.

Persons with disabilities, women and members of marginalised groups have been encouraged to apply.

The Auditor General's office also cautioned members of the public against fraudsters who may impersonate its staff and solicit bribes during the recruitment process.

"The office does not charge any fees for job applications, shortlisting, interviews or appointments," it said, adding that only shortlisted and successful candidates will be contacted.

Canvassing in any form will result in automatic disqualification.
