National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula has urged MPs to prioritise pending legislative and oversight business as the House resumes sittings after a one-month recess. Wetang’ula said the fifth session has a limited period remaining, requiring MPs and committees to expedite consideration of pending matters. He said the House will also begin considering the 2026/27 Budget Policy Statement and related fiscal framework, with budget business expected to conclude by March 2027.
