A Mombasa court has convicted a banker, Hannington Muthoka, of attempted murder after stabbing his former lover, Elizabeth Shigari three times, leaving a knife blade lodged in her back. Senior Resident Magistrate David Odhiambo found Muthoka guilty of attempting to unlawfully cause Shigari’s death on September 25th, 2023, in Port Reitz, Changamwe. The court ruled that the prosecution had proved its case beyond reasonable doubt after calling ten witnesses.
