Public institutions have been urged to provide the media with sufficient, timely and accurate information to promote information integrity. MCK CEO David Omwoyo says withholding information can fuel speculation and misinformation, noting that media houses can report denied access to the Ombudsman, who can compel public institutions to release the information. The remarks come as the world marks the International Day of Universal Access to Information under the theme, “Upholding Information Integrity in the Digital World.”
