Co-operatives CS Wycliffe Oparanya has warned SACCO officials against fraud, reckless lending and the misuse of members' savings, saying those found culpable will face the law. Speaking during the launch of the SACCO Supervision Annual Report 2025 in Nairobi, CS Oparanya cited governance failures, liquidity pressures and weaknesses in financial reporting as key risks. He urged the regulator to strengthen oversight and ensure accountability in the sector.
