A US Court has ordered Apple to pay Sh739 billion in damages after finding it used another firm's technology without permission. Audio company Taction Technology sued in 2021, alleging Apple infringed two of its haptics patents. The technology powers vibrations for actions like receiving a message or pressing a button on devices such as the iPhone and Apple Watch. Taction argued that by delivering better haptic feedback, Apple significantly improved the overall user experience of its products.
