A section of women, activists and political leaders from kiamaiko within Nairobi have taken to the streets to protest the rising cases of gender-based violence against women. Led by Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris, the protesters called for greater cooperation between the public and authorities to report perpetrators. They also urged families and communities to promote positive values and strengthen efforts to prevent violence against women.
