Equitable Party of Kenya leader Edwin Sifuna says many nominated women senators fear associating with Linda Mwananchi rallies despite disagreeing with the national government and the parties that nominated them. Sifuna criticised what he described as the suppression of women’s constitutional right to political freedom, citing the removal of former UDA senator Gloria Orwoba after she attended a homecoming event for former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i.
