The ongoing debate over claims that the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga won last year’s election could encourage greater vigilance ahead of the next polls. Political analyst Oscar Obonyo says if the claims are true, Kenyans should scrutinize the IEBC and the judiciary more closely. He, however, warns that the debate could also create pessimism among voters by suggesting that election winners are not always the ones announced.
