A Nairobi court has ordered matatu driver Sammy Murigi Maina to remain in custody until key eyewitnesses testify in a case arising from a fatal accident along Enterprise Road. Presiding magistrate Paul Mutai said the decision was necessary to safeguard witnesses from possible intimidation or interference by the accused. The magistrate noted that the accident, involving the flashy Manyoka matatu, had generated significant public anger, creating concerns about the safety of both the accused and witnesses.
