The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has assured motorists that measures are in place to minimise accidents and damage to roads during the expected El Niño rains. KeNHA Chairperson Winfrida Ngumi and other officials said mitigation measures have also been put in place at ongoing road construction sites to protect motorists and nearby communities. The authority said it was also prepared to address any challenges that may arise and ensure major highways remain safe and accessible throughout the rainy season.
