The police say they are taking steps to combat goonism in the country. Deputy Inspector General of Police Eliud Lagat warned that the government will not tolerate the vice, urging young people not to be lured by politicians into joining such groups. He said the police will continue taking action against individuals involved in violence and disrupting public rallies.
