Three people have been arrested in Nakuru after police pursued a motorcycle following reports of three men allegedly involved in robberies in parts of the city.
Officers from Bondeni Police Station in Nakuru East Subcounty arrested the three on Sunday, September 20, 2026, after responding to reports of three men riding a motorcycle in Manyani and Kivumbini estates.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), residents alerted police after the men were allegedly reported to have targeted residents in the two estates.
“Police responded to the scene and pursued the suspects,” the DCI said.
The officers pursued the motorcycle through the neighbourhood before intercepting it within Manyani Estate, where all three occupants were arrested.
The DCI said police recovered weapons and the motorcycle during the operation. It did not specify the type of weapons recovered.
The three were taken to Bondeni Police Station and remained in police custody as officers processed the case ahead of their expected arraignment.
The DCI did not disclose the identities of the three people.
The arrests follow reports of security concerns in parts of Nakuru, including Manyani and Kivumbini estates.
The DCI commended residents who alerted police, saying their reports enabled officers to respond to the reported incidents.
“The National Police Service commends the members of the public for their quick reporting, which enabled the swift response,” the agency said.
Police have urged the public to report suspected criminal activity through the nearest police station or established emergency and crime-reporting channels.
