Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen has called on university vice chancellors and managements to partner with security agencies to curb the sharply rising abuse of drugs and other substances in universities and colleges. Speaking at a graduation ceremony for certified professional mediators, he lamented that one in five young people is actively using drugs. He said that while the government tackles drug supply, colleges can deploy peer counsellors to reach affected students and save them before their futures are ruined.
