Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen has credited President William Ruto with driving what he described as a new chapter in Kenya’s sports development, citing major international tournaments and increased investment in sporting infrastructure. Speaking in Eldoret, Murkomen said Kenya’s preparations to host major international competitions, such as the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2029 World Athletics Championship, were evidence of the country’s growing profile in global sports.
