Kenyan content creator Mungai Eve has responded to online speculation that a wealthy man is funding her lifestyle, choosing humour rather than a lengthy explanation.

Eve addressed the claims in a TikTok video shared on September 19, 2026, where she posted a mirror selfie from what appeared to be an upscale living space.
The video came with a cheeky Swahili message directed at the rumours surrounding her life in Nairobi.
“Hizo rumours nasikia ati kuna mtu ameniweka Nairobi si ukweli, but natafuta.”
appeared to playfully acknowledge the speculation rather than confirm that anyone was paying her bills.

Eve jokes about the speculation.

Eve also accompanied the video with another message that focused on her personal state of mind and lifestyle.

“Mind right, company right, spirit right, money right, food right. Keeping the taste level higher.”
There is no evidence in the available reports establishing that Eve has a sponsor paying her expenses.
Instead, the speculation appears to have grown around changes in her content output and her public display of an increasingly business-focused lifestyle.

Mungai Eve’s career shift

Eve rose to prominence through celebrity interviews and street-based entertainment content before moving into other ventures following her highly publicised split from former partner and director Trevor.
She later launched her own YouTube channel after the former couple went their separate ways. She has also ventured into the sale of Apple products and accessories through her business.
In July, Eve pushed back against speculation about the direction of her career as discussions grew around her shift away from regular entertainment interviews. She has increasingly presented herself as an entrepreneur alongside her work as a digital creator.
Her relationship with Trevor had previously been closely linked to her content career, with the pair building a sizeable online following together before their split.
Eve has since continued developing her individual brand while sharing glimpses of her personal life and business activities online.

A humorous response

Rather than directly addressing the identity of the person allegedly funding her lifestyle, Eve appeared to use the speculation as an opportunity to joke with her followers.
Her use of the phrase “but natafuta” has also left room for interpretation, with the creator seemingly choosing not to take the online chatter too seriously.
For now, Eve has not identified any individual as a sponsor or confirmed that another person is responsible for paying her expenses.
Her latest post instead adds to the conversation around her changing lifestyle and career as she balances content creation with her business interests.
