Kenyan musician Bahati has been filmed handing his wife, Diana Marua, a bundle of cash after she presented him with a list of expenses she wanted covered.

The exchange was captured in a video shared on X on September 17, 2026, showing Diana approaching Bahati as he sat inside a white Mercedes SUV.
The couple appeared to be at a residential compound, with several vehicles visible in the background.
Diana then began listing the things she needed money for, including getting her hair done, doing her nails, and buying a new outfit for a night out with her friends.
“I need money for my hair, I need money for my nails, I need money for my outfit…”

Diana adds fuel to her list.

Diana’s requests did not end with her personal plans.
She also told Bahati that their cars needed fuel, pointing out that the vehicles were only about half full.
She explained that she could not access the bank because it was already past 5 pm, asking Bahati to give her cash instead.

Bahati initially appeared hesitant as Diana continued explaining what she needed the money for.
He eventually pulled out a thick bundle of KSh1,000 notes and handed it to her.
The exact amount in the bundle was not established in the video.
Diana then thanked her husband and told him that she loved him.
She also informed Bahati that she planned to go out with her friends and asked him to pick her up later.
“You will come and pick me up at four or five in the morning,” Diana told him.

The couple’s public lifestyle

Bahati and Diana have built a large online following by regularly sharing parts of their family and personal lives with their audiences.
The couple has also previously spoken publicly about money within their marriage.
In 2024, Bahati claimed that he gave Diana a monthly wife allowance of KSh1 million, saying at the time that she still felt the amount was not enough.
Their financial conversations have therefore become a recurring part of the content they share online.
In another recent development, Bahati has said he is planning a wedding celebration that could cost more than KSh100 million, adding to the public interest surrounding the couple’s lifestyle.
The latest video, however, focuses on a much smaller and more everyday exchange between the couple.
The clip has since attracted attention online, with social-media users reacting to the amount of money shown and the couple’s conversation.
Neither Bahati nor Diana indicated in the video that the exchange represented their overall household spending or financial arrangements.
For now, the clip offers another glimpse into the highly publicised lifestyle that the couple regularly share with their followers.
