Jubilee Health Insurance has been named Best Digital Insurance Provider at the Kenya E-Commerce Awards 2026.

The recognition comes as insurers increasingly adopt digital tools to simplify policy purchases, customer onboarding, payments and access to healthcare services.

Jubilee Health Insurance Chief Executive Officer and Principal Officer Njeri Jomo said the company’s digital investments were focused on addressing customer needs.

“Customers increasingly expect services to be simple, accessible and available when and where they need them. Our focus has been to use technology to remove unnecessary complexity from health insurance while ensuring customers still receive the support and assurance they need,” said Jomo.

The insurer has expanded its digital capabilities across the insurance journey, including online policy access, self-service platforms, paperless processes and flexible payment options for eligible annual medical covers.

These developments come as the insurance industry explores technology-enabled approaches to improving access to medical cover and reducing some of the administrative barriers customers face.

Jubilee Health Insurance Head of Marketing and Communications Monica Chege said digital transformation should focus on practical improvements to the customer experience.

“Digital innovation must ultimately make things easier for the customer. Our focus is not simply on digitising insurance, but on making health cover easier to understand, access and pay for,” said Chege.

The company said it would continue developing digital platforms and partnerships aimed at improving access to health insurance and healthcare
