“The ongoing construction of 600 modern markets is unprecedented in our country, and no other administration has built this kind of infrastructure since our independence in 1963,” he said.
He said the markets were being constructed in response to a promise to provide traders with decent and dignified spaces to conduct business.
Misambi market is expected to accommodate 200 traders and is scheduled for completion in November.
Kijebi modern market in Suba South/PCSKendu Bay market, which was handed over during the tour, will accommodate 300 Mama Mboga and other traders.

He said the government was investing Sh27 billion in affordable housing, modern markets and hostels for students in universities, technical colleges and Kenya Medical Training Colleges.
