President William Ruto is set to travel to New York next week for the 81st United Nations General Assembly, where he will advance Kenya’s multilateral diplomatic agenda and engage the Kenyan diaspora. Foreign Affairs PS Korir Sing’oei says Ruto will use the visit to advance Kenya’s interests in discussions on debt, climate finance, digital trade and regional security. The PS added that Ruto will use the platform to articulate Africa’s position on reform of the UN Security Council and inclusive global governance.
