A phone theft and hacking racket operating under the guise of a repair business has been dismantled in Kisii town. Detectives arrested two suspects, who are currently held in custody as investigations continue. Recovered exhibits include 32 stolen mobile phones, three laptops fitted with hacking tools, several external hard drives, and M-KOPA HMD batteries. Authorities say the crackdown is part of efforts to disrupt criminal networks exploiting technology to defraud Kenyans.
