Gender CS Hanna Cheptumo has called for stronger support systems for survivors of gender-based violence, including safe and accessible shelters. Cheptumo says shelters provide safety, dignity, healing and a pathway to recovery and reintegration. She also called for stronger measures to address technology-facilitated gender-based violence and online exploitation of children, saying prevention and response systems must keep pace with emerging threats.
