The Nubian Rights Forum is calling on the government to ease access to identity documents for people from marginalized communities. Speaking during a function to mark International Identity Day, Citizenship Paralegal Rudhwan Haidar says applicants still face difficulties obtaining national IDs and birth certificates, despite the government’s abolition of the vetting process. He wants barriers to accessing documentation removed.
