LG Electronics says its smart TVs do not continuously record or transmit ambient conversations, and process voice data only when users activate voice controls or a recognised wake word. The company says it processes wake-word detection locally and deletes audio if it doesn't detect the wake word. LG adds that users can manage privacy and consent settings directly through their TVs, although features and controls vary by model and software version.
