Nubian Right Forum CEO Shaffie Hussein says continued vetting of ID applicants by some government agencies is denying marginalized communities important opportunities. Hussein says some applicants are being forced to wait for identification documents despite a presidential declaration ending the practice. He spoke in Kibra during the International Day of Identification, calling for the process to be abolished permanently.
