Parents Association has called on school administrators to stop compelling parents to pay tuition fees contrary to the Basic Education Act. Association Chair Silas Obuhatsa says the Basic Education Act 2026 should clearly outline penalties for administrators who impose extra levies on parents. He says government capitation should cater for school needs, with learning hours maintained from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
