Zambian authorities have warned the public against eating meat from wildlife following an anthrax outbreak that has killed dozens of animals, including hippos, elephants, buffalo and a crocodile. A disaster management official said 12 people were infected after consuming meat from dead wildlife in the Munyamadzi River area. Authorities urged the public to avoid animals that die naturally or from unknown causes and report such cases.
