Kenyan content creator Mjaka Mfine has left social media amused after publicly searching for a boda boda rider she claims she cannot stop thinking about.

Mjaka shared a video explaining how a brief ride to town turned into what she described as an unexpected romantic encounter.

The unusual part of the story is that she never saw the rider’s face.

How the mystery began

According to Mjaka, she boarded the motorcycle while heading to town and soon noticed that the rider was dressed in full protective gear.

He was wearing a helmet and other riding gear that covered most of his appearance. Mjaka compared his look to that of popular Kenyan biker Brayo.

Because of the protective equipment, she said she was unable to see what the rider looked like.

Things reportedly took a different turn when the motorcycle went over a pothole.

Mjaka said the impact caused her to slide and instinctively hold onto the rider around his waist.

“I keep remembering that and smiling. I cannot live without you.”

She said there was also a moment when the rider turned towards her following the incident, but the brief interaction did not reveal his face.

The pair eventually reached her destination, leaving Mjaka without a name or clear description of the person she was now looking for.

Mjaka appeals to the rider

In the video, Mjaka directly addressed her followers as she attempted to find the mystery rider.

“Hi guys, I’m here looking for someone,” she said before explaining what had happened during the ride.

Rather than simply recounting the encounter, Mjaka appeared to be hoping that the rider himself would see the video and recognise the story.

Her appeal quickly attracted reactions from social media users, many of whom joined in with the search in their own way.

Kenyans turn the search into comedy

Several people responded humorously to Mjaka’s appeal.

One commenter claimed the rider was his brother, while another simply wrote, “It was me.”

Others compared the story to an Indian film, while another commenter jokingly told Mjaka to wake up and stop dreaming.
