Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz shared a touching stage moment with his eldest daughter during a family celebration in Dar es Salaam.
The superstar rushed to embrace his daughter, Latiffah Dangote, after she made a public pledge to look after her new baby sister, Sandrah.
The moment took place during the 40th-day celebration held for infant Sandrah Nasibu in Dar es Salaam. Addressing her father and singer Zuchu from the stage, nine-year-old Latiffah expressed her excitement over receiving a younger sister.
A Sisterly Promise
Latiffah took the microphone to offer her congratulations to her parents in front of assembled family and guests.

She explained that she had waited a long time for a sister and shared her plans for the baby's upbringing.
"It's been like a long time I wanted and I'm going to play with her like all the time and I'll take care of her," she added.
Upon hearing the pledge, Diamond Platnumz reacted immediately with cheers of excitement. He cheered repeatedly before calling Latiffah over to his side.
"Woo wow Wow Wow Wow Wow Wow Wow Wow," the audience cheered in unison. Diamond then stood from his seat, moving closer to his daughter and hugging her.
Cultural Background of the Event
The gathering marked the 40th day since the birth of Sandrah Nasibu, the first child together for Diamond Platnumz (Nasibu Abdul Juma Issack) and singer Zuchu (Zuhura Othman Kopa). Sandrah was born on 2 August 2026.
In Swahili and Islamic tradition, the 40th day post-birth—known locally as Arobaini—signifies the end of the initial maternal recovery period. The milestone is traditionally observed across East Africa with a formal family gathering to introduce the newborn to relatives and community members.
