Kenyan forex trader Coolkid has revealed that he has taken back the Mercedes-Benz car he had bought for his girlfriend after she allegedly refused to apologise within the 24-hour ultimatum he had given her.
Coolkid said the decision came after a tense exchange between the two, with the trader revealing that he had told his girlfriend that he loved her, only to receive a simple “thank you” in response.
According to Coolkid, he expected an apology after their disagreement but was disappointed when his girlfriend declined to give one.

Speaking about the situation, Coolkid said he decided to take back the luxury car after his girlfriend failed to apologise within the time he had given her.
He also addressed claims from people who had previously suggested that the Mercedes-Benz was essentially a car for hire.
“Since my girlfriend alikataa kuapologise, nimechukua gari yangu na watu walikua wanasema this car is for hire. If it's for hire, I've hired it for life,” Coolkid said.
The forex trader added that he would now be the one using the vehicle after taking it back from his girlfriend.
“Alikataa kusema apology. Right now I will be the one rolling with it,” he added.
Ultimatum Ends In Car Take-Back
Coolkid had reportedly given his girlfriend 24 hours to apologise, warning that failure to do so would result in him reclaiming the Mercedes-Benz he had purchased for her.
The ultimatum has now seemingly expired, with Coolkid confirming that he followed through on his warning.
His remarks have since attracted attention online, particularly because of the luxury gift involved and the fact that the disagreement escalated to the point of the car being taken back.
The trader’s revelation comes shortly after he shared the exchange in which he told his girlfriend that he loved her, only for her to respond with “thank you.”
