India is looking to increase its use of biofuels to strengthen ​energy security as disruptions to crude supplies push ‌oil prices higher. Adviser in the Prime Minister's Office Tarun Kapoor said the ongoing war between Israel, the US and Iran has made it difficult to ensure there’s continuous supply of crude oil. Kapoor said India needs to use all available domestic ‌resources, such as ethanol, ⁠to strengthen its energy security.
