Police in Nairobi have warned Kenyans against harassing foreigners suspected of illegally running small businesses, saying no official crackdown has been launched and no reports of harassment or an exodus of foreigners from the country have been received. Trade Cabinet Secretary Lee Kinyanjui has meanwhile warned foreigners entering Kenya under visa-free or tourist arrangements against engaging in employment, trade or business without the required permits, saying their visas will be revoked if they violate the conditions of entry.
