Nyandarua Senator Methu Muhia, when he visited Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga at his Nairobi residence on Friday/HANDOUT
Nyandarua Senator John Methu visited Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga at his Nairobi residence on Friday morning, describing the veteran politician as being in high spirits.
Methu also arrived at Oburu’s home with goats during the visit, in a gesture to his colleague.
“Happy to find my colleague Siaya Senator. Dr Oburu Odinga in high spirits when I checked on him at his Nairobi residence this morning,” Muhia said.
The visit comes days after Oburu dismissed reports that he had been readmitted to Nairobi Hospital, saying he was recovering at his Nairobi home.
The ODM leader said he was discharged from the hospital on Monday morning after spending two days at the facility.
“Those people saying I have been readmitted, have they talked to me? They have not looked for me,” Oburu said.
His remarks followed reports that he had been readmitted to the facility, with those visiting him reportedly restricted to close family members.
Oburu said he received several visitors during his hospital admission, including Cabinet secretaries.
“I have received so many visitors. Cabinet secretaries like Opiyo Wandayi, the Energy CS, visited me,” he stated.
A doctor at the facility where Oburu was admitted said the lawmaker spent two days at the hospital before being discharged on Monday after he was cleared by doctors.Nyandarua Senator Methu Muhia, when he visited Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga at his Nairobi residence on Friday/HANDOUTNyandarua Senator Methu Muhia, when he visited Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga at his Nairobi residence on Friday/HANDOUTNyandarua Senator Methu Muhia when he visited Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga at his Nairobi residence on Friday/HANDOUT
