Kenyan travel content creator Diana Daisy has finally left Nepal after her trip to the Asian country was disrupted by devastating floods and landslides.

Diana shared the update with her followers on Friday, September 4, 2026, as she prepared to leave the country after weeks of travelling across Asia.

The content creator thanked Nepal for the experience and expressed her hope of returning in the future.

“Time to leave this beautiful country of Nepal. Thank you so much. Goodbye, Nepal. See you soon again,” Diana said.

She also took the opportunity to reassure concerned followers who had been keeping up with her situation following the natural disaster.

“For those people who are asking if I am doing okay, I am super okay,” she added.

Why Diana Travelled to Nepal

Diana had travelled to Nepal as part of her wider journey exploring different parts of Asia.

The content creator explained that she had planned to hike and explore villages in the mountainous country, including Rasuwa, while also visiting the famous Icelake.

Her trip was also meant to involve a major personal challenge, as she had hoped to hike to an altitude of about 5,000 metres above sea level.

Diana, however, found the increasing altitude difficult to handle.

She revealed that she began experiencing dizziness and eventually became unwell as she climbed higher, prompting her to leave the area.

How She Avoided the Worst of the Disaster
Diana’s decision to leave the villages proved crucial after devastating floods and landslides later struck parts of Nepal.

The travel content creator explained that the area where she had been staying was mountainous, with her location reaching about 3,500 metres above sea level.

“It is a mountainous country. I wanted to do a challenge of 5000 metres above sea level, and where I was in the village is about 3500 metres above sea level,” she explained.

Diana said she started feeling sick and dizzy as she gained altitude, which led her to leave before the disaster occurred.

“So the more I was getting high, I became sick; I could feel dizzy, and that is why I left before the incident happened,” she said.

She had previously disclosed that she left the villages in the affected areas two days before the disaster struck.
