Kenyan comedian and content creator Jaymo Decin has questioned Malcom for allegedly failing to support his Sudhe Experience show, arguing that artists should be celebrated and supported while they are still alive and actively creating.
Jaymo raised the issue in a social media post while reacting to Malcolm’s message following the death of his friend and fellow entertainer Jkuat Comrade.
Sharing Malcom’s post, Jaymo questioned why people often wait until someone is gone before showing them love and appreciation.
“Malcom amepost the passing of Jkuat Comrade... sio Mbaya,” Jaymo wrote.

He then turned the attention to the support artists receive while they are still around.
‘Do We Take Time To Celebrate Our Own?’
Jaymo questioned why Malcom had not shown the same energy towards his Sudhe Experience show, despite the importance of supporting local creatives.
“But do we take time to celebrate our own akiwa alive... Right now mtu akisema nikona show ya Sudhe Experience 😟 yaani 3 months later ata post kwa story jameni na sai mtu akisema memo hajamjibu utapost????” he wrote.
His message appeared to challenge the culture of only showing appreciation to entertainers after their death, instead of supporting their work during their active years.
Jaymo insisted that artists need genuine support when they are still working, performing and building their careers.

The comedian concluded his message with a direct appeal to people in the entertainment industry and fans to rally behind Kenyan creatives.
“Let’s Support our own genuinely!!! That’s my POV 🙏,” he added.
