The government has disbursed Sh850 million to over 400,000 households under the Cash Transfer for Orphans and Vulnerable Children programme. The funds, paid under the Inua Jamii initiative, cover the July 2026 payment, with each beneficiary household receiving Sh2,000. The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection says payments began yesterday through contracted payment service providers.
