The Government remains committed to integrating evidence-based traditional medicine into primary healthcare by 2028, Health CS Aden Duale says. Speaking during African Traditional Medicine Day celebrations at KEMRI headquarters, Duale said the ministry is finalising the National Traditional complimentary intervention medicine policy to guide the registration, licensing and regulation of practitioners. The framework will also ensure traditional medicines meet required standards of quality, safety and efficacy.
