People’s Party leader Ndindi Nyoro has defended traders affected by increased taxes on imported goods, accusing the government and KRA of ignoring their concerns. Nyoro said the tax on containers has risen from about KSh2.5 million to KSh3.2 million, threatening businesses and livelihoods. He condemned the use of tear gas against protesting traders and urged the government and KRA to reopen dialogue and find a solution.
