Lulu Hassan and her husband, Rashid Abdalla, gave viewers an unexpected dose of humour after getting into a playful debate over social media posts during a live news bulletin.
The exchange resurfaced online on Thursday, August 27, showing the two Citizen TV presenters discussing whether married couples should explain the messages behind what they share on their personal accounts.
The conversation began with Rashid defending the freedom to post content without having to account for every choice.
“Right now, if I share a picture with a song, I know why I chose the song. It is my social media page.”

Lulu, however, took a different position. She argued that certain posts could be interpreted differently by a spouse or members of the public.

Lulu suggested that even something as simple as adding a song to a photograph could raise questions at home.
“Your wife will ask you why you chose that specific song.”
Rashid remained firm in his argument, suggesting that spouses should also be free to make their own choices online.
“She should also use her song of choice.”
The discussion became more humorous when Lulu introduced a hypothetical situation involving a breakup song.
“If I post a song about a breakup, my husband must ask me. Right?”
Rashid disagreed, asking why such a post would necessarily require an explanation.
“No, that is your social media page. Must you explain everything?”
The exchange drew laughter from the studio as the two continued debating their positions.
The director cut short the debate.
The discussion was eventually brought to an end when the show's director intervened.
