The decision by the Coast Water Works Development Agency to suspend its services in Taita Taveta, Kilifi and Kwale counties has sparked strong reactions from residents and county governments. The decision has been criticised, with county CEC’s water, describing it as a serious violation of the law. Residents from the three county now fear the situation will worsen, especially in Voi and its surrounding areas, where many are already forced to buy water.
