The government is expanding Kenya’s school feeding programme, targeting meals for 10 million learners by 2030 as part of efforts to improve school attendance, learning and child welfare. The national programme currently supports about 2.65 million learners, while partnerships with counties, development organisations and the private sector are helping expand coverage and modernise meal preparation.
