For Oga Obinna, what appeared to be an ordinary trip to Bondo quickly turned into what he believes could be a divine sign ahead of his highly anticipated Vurugu 3 event.
The media personality and Vurugu founder was in Bondo for an event when he unexpectedly spotted a lorry carrying a banner bearing the words “VURUGU 3.” The coincidence immediately caught his attention, leaving him wondering whether there was a deeper meaning behind the encounter.

Taking to social media, Obinna shared his excitement with his followers, asking whether the moment was a sign, a nudge or even a message from God.
“Tell me if this is not God talking to us DIRECTLY!! Was in Bondo for an event, punde si punde a Lorry with a banner VURUGU 3 right infront of us.”
He went on to question whether the encounter was “a celebration or … ?” before leaving his followers to interpret the moment for themselves.
However, Obinna appeared convinced that the unexpected sighting was more than just a coincidence.
“I dont really believe in coincidences🤔. God has Endorsed it we just have to actualise it for his Glory and change lives through it. Let’s Go.”
Vurugu 3 Already Generating Buzz
The unexpected Bondo moment comes as preparations for Vurugu 3 continue to generate considerable excitement among Kenyan entertainment fans.
The celebrity boxing franchise has grown rapidly since its launch, with Vurugu bringing together entertainers, influencers and other public figures for high-profile contests.
Vurugu 2, held at Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi in June, featured several notable matchups, including the much-publicised clash between musician Arrow Bwoy and Ugandan socialite Shakib Cham.

One of the biggest stories surrounding the third edition is the proposed showdown between Mumias East MP Peter Salasya and US-based content creator Andrew Kibe.
Obinna backed Salasya’s challenge and proposed an initial KSh2 million purse, with the possibility of the amount rising to KSh5 million through sponsorship.
