Accident scene at Salgaa on Saturday, August 22, 2026/SCREENGRAB/XA multiple-vehicle crash has been reported along the Nakuru–Eldoret Highway near Salgaa, with several people reportedly feared dead and others injured.
The crash has also led to heavy traffic along the busy highway as emergency teams respond to the incident. 
The Long Distance Drivers and Conductors Association advised motorists travelling towards Salgaa from Nakuru to use an alternative route.
“Traffic is merely moving between Ngata and Salgaa due to an earlier accident,” the association said.
The circumstances surrounding the crash and the number of vehicles involved were not immediately available.
