The High Court has ordered the controversial Gatoto Primary School in Mukuru, Nairobi, to be handed back to its private owners by coming Thursday. This follows an earlier ruling that declared the State’s takeover and conversion of the school into a public institution illegal. The court directed that the school be re-registered as a private, non-profit APBET institution under its original board. Five respondents including DIG Eliud Langat, have also been ordered to appear in court on Thursday to confirm compliance.
