PLP leader Martha Karua has urged women leaders to reject the culture of distributing handouts during political seasons, saying it undermines good governance. Speaking at a women and youth convention, Karua encouraged more women to contest elective positions and urged them to support one another. She said leadership should be based on merit, noting that both men and women have the capacity to lead.
